  • Additive Manufacturing technologies are still at the early stage of development and the is a tremendous, undiscovered potential for developing new solutions (either application, materials or business models)
  • Exotic materials like Scalmalloy(R) by Aribus, only processable by DMLM, will enable to produce lighter and more durable aerospace parts than ever before
  • Standard parameters provided by the machine suppliers works for 95% of applications, but in order to fully utilize the potential of DMLM, process parameters suppose be optimized to multiply the profits
  • DMLM technology is quite complex and still pretty unknown those days. Lack of knowledge about correlations between process parameters may strongly impact process stability and repeatability of R&D effords:
    • process parameters
    • laser & powder characterization
    • working procedures (job preparation, machine preparation, powder handling, post-processing)
    •
