Module 2: Application Support
With every application and material come very specific challenges. In order to help customers attain a higher level of material and application competence, we continuously support our clients with application and material support so that they don’t have to go it alone and push our boundaries with their experiences and questions.
Module 3: Powder Specifications
We provide to clients the chemistry and physical specifications of the powder in order to manufacture high-quality parts and identify when the powder is to be rejected. To ensure high-quality results and avoid mechanical property variations due to powder preparation and handling methods, we review the key variables that influence the AM process and, subsequently, part quality as relating to the powder that is utilized in AM, including how to control incoming powder lots and define powder acceptance/rejection criteria for a specific material.
Module 4: Machine Quality Control (QC)
With the range of variables that need to be controlled for in the AM process, Magnitude points out the most critical to quality (CTQ) variables in order to ensure that clients know what to look for during quality control, both for machine and material specific requirements. This ensures that the material the customer is operating is continuously performing at the highest quality, regardless of the machine.
Module 5: Mechanical Properties
Even though clients typically characterize the material themselves, we provide the mechanical properties and repeatability results that customers can expect out of our combination of powder, machine and laser parameters.
Module 6: Heat Treatment
Where applicable, we provide data on the heat treatment that should be applied to the material, the resultant mechanical property consequences and how to best utilize them for specific applications.
