  • change from prototyping to volume production requires significant changes in quality management system
    • DMLM process characterize may be characterized by legit amount of parameters:
      • settings of the laser (not only power and speed, but also skywritting, ... and others)
      • specifics of the metal powder (chemistry, morphology, particle size distribution, spreadability, tap density and others)
      • machine preparation is done manually, many things might be screwed up (from powder contamination caused by lack of cleaning, trough 
      • file preparation (bad quality of stl files, wrong placement and exposure order in building chamber, ...)
  • AM lacks quality standards and certification programs, that is why for most companies its necessary to learn of their failures (you should hire us, motherfuckers!)
